Paper Planes: Visual Design

VISUAL DESIGN EXPLORATIONS

We tried out multiple directions for the visual design, all intending to draw attention to the articles themselves.

FINAL VISUAL DESIGN

The Paper Planes team mentioned they had an in-house graphic designer working on all the cover images and that they wanted to give importance to these images. So, we decided to use neutral colours to keep the focus on the images.

We ended up running with a mixture of versions 1 & 2 - using simple layouts and neutral colours, but adding more character and a friendlier feel through minimal illustrations.
